Capitol City Chase Half : Georgetown and Fletcher's Boathouse
The event on May 31 comprises a half marathon, a 10k and a 5k that take place along the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal path in Washington, DC. Courses use the canal towpath, a light gravel trail with minimal elevation change. The half marathon starts and finishes in Georgetown near the Potomac Boat Club. The 5k and 10k start and finish at Fletcher's Boathouse. All races follow out and back formats.

Runners receive a finisher's medal, a technical drifit event shirt and chip timing. Live results are posted on Athlinks and via a QR code at the race; final results with series points are published the Monday after the event. Points earned count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k, Endurance and Back of the Pack series and toward the Spring Series.
A virtual race option is available for those who cannot attend in person. Walkers are welcome. There is no on-site race registration for this event; packet pickup is available at the venue and participants are advised to arrive before their race start for check-in. Water stations are placed along each course; the half marathon has seven stations, the 10k has three and the 5k has one. Awards are given to the top three overall and to age-group places.
