Capitol City Chase 5k, 10k, & Half
The Capitol City Chase is a running event taking place in Washington, DC, on May 31, 2026. The competition offers participants multiple distance options through the heart of Georgetown and along the Nation’s Capital. The available race distances include:

- Half Marathon
The courses are set on the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal path. The logistics for the start and finish areas differ depending on the chosen distance. The Half Marathon begins and ends in Georgetown near the Potomac Boat Club. In contrast, the 5k and 10k events start and finish at Fletcher’s Boat House.
Walkers are welcome to participate in the event. In addition to the in-person races, virtual participation options are available, which allow runners to complete their distance remotely with or without commemorative items such as medals and shirts.
