Capernwray Mid Week Series - September
Capernwray Mid Week Series stages triathlon, aquathlon, AquaBike races and open-water swims at Capernwray Dive Centre, Jackdaw Quarry, Carnforth LA6 1AD. Events take place in the flooded quarry for the swim, followed by a bike route through lanes of Lancashire and a run along the Lancaster canal tow path. The series is described as friendly and relaxed and presents shorter race formats suitable for weeknight competition.
Entries for the series open on 12 September 2025 and close on 1 September 2026. The minimum age to enter is 15. Entries recorded so far are 19. Entry fees are listed as follows: Triathlon £35; Triathlon Relay (team of 3) £45; Aquathlon £25; AquaBike £25; 500 m swim £10; 1000 m swim £15; 1500 m swim £20.
Registration location is weather dependent and may be upstairs in the café or outside by transition. The event includes free parking, water safety cover, timing, professional photographs, toilets and changing rooms. There is an option to purchase event cover that may allow a refund if a participant is unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances.
