Fleetwood Half Marathon
The Fleetwood Half Marathon is a measured road race of 13.1 miles along the Fylde coastline. The course is a flat out and back route from Fleetwood with long, open stretches and sea views. The route is chip timed to provide an accurate finish time for each runner.
Event HQ is on the grassed area next to the Model Boating Lake on the Esplanade in Fleetwood. The start and finish areas are close to Event HQ, and registration, number collection and event-day enquiries are handled from this location. Race numbers are arranged in surname order at collection.
Facilities at Event HQ include portable toilets, a baggage storage area and a key drop service; all belongings are left at the owner’s risk. Parking is available in the car park adjacent to the event area, with additional public car parks along The Esplanade and on-street parking subject to local restrictions. The promenade provides good access for spectators and participants with limited mobility, and accessible parking spaces are available in local car parks subject to availability. Note that the Event HQ area is on grass.
A staffed water station will be positioned around halfway, with water also supplied at the finish. Professional medical support will be present for the duration of the event. Official race photos will be taken on course and at the finish and are normally available online within 24 to 48 hours. Headphones are permitted but must be used at a low volume so runners can hear marshals and other instructions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
