Hoad Hill Harriers Summer 10k & Fun Run
The Hoad Hill Harriers Summer 10k & Fun Run is an athletic event held in Ulverston, Cumbria. The event is based at the Ulverston Park Sports Club, formerly known as the Glaxo Sports Club, located on North Lonsdale Road. The venue provides on-site parking, changing facilities, and toilets for participants, and refreshments are available at the site.
Participants can choose between two distinct distances:
- 10 km
- 1 mile Fun Run
The 10 km race utilizes chip timing for all participants. To enter this distance, runners must be at least 15 years old. Prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers, as well as the first-place finishers in various categories including Under 18, Under 16, and veteran classes starting from age 40 and above. Additionally, team prizes are available for the first three counting runners, provided they wear their official club vests. All finishers of the 10 km race receive a medal.
The 1 mile Fun Run is open to various ages, though children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. All finishers in the Fun Run also receive a medal. The event is conducted under UK Athletics rules, and members of UK Athletics are eligible for a discount on the entry fee for the main race.
