Event Overview
The ROC England in the Lake District features a five-stage endurance format that takes participants from the shores of Windermere to the summit of Scafell Pike, the highest mountain in England. The course starts and finishes at Lakeside, Newby Bridge, covering a total distance of 112 km with a total ascent of 6,916 ft.
Course Breakdown
The multi-discipline event is divided into the following stages:
- 1.5 km lake swim
- 46.5 km road bike
- 18 km mountain run
- 45.5 km road bike
- 1 km trail run
The initial bike section passes notable landmarks such as Coniston Water before reaching the mountain transition. The mountain run stage involves reaching the summit of Scafell Pike and returning to the bike transition.
Logistics and Requirements
