The Golden Ball 20 Miles and Riverside 10
The Golden Ball event takes place in Lancaster on 30 August 2026 and offers two measured road/path distances. The races start and finish at the Trimpell Club, using the network of paths around Lancaster and the surrounding district. The organisers describe the course as flat and fast.
Distances:
- 20 miles - medal and t-shirt for all finishers.
- 10 miles - medal for all finishers.
The event holds UKA licence numbers 29123 and 28796. Prizes are awarded to the first three male and first three female finishers in each race. Course maps are provided for both distances.
Online entry fees vary by category and distance; different rates apply for affiliated club athletes, unaffiliated athletes, and Lancaster Runners Club members. Some online portals may add a small charge. Entries on the day are accepted for cash only, with separate on-the-day fees for each distance and category.
