CAK 5K on the Runway
The CAK 5K on the Runway is an athletic event held in Green, Ohio, featuring a course that takes participants onto a functional airport runway. The route traverses the Ohio Air Guard Facility and utilizes the MAPS Air Museum as the location for both the start and the finish lines. This event is a designated part of the Green Great 8 Race Series.

A specific feature of the 5K course is the Afterburner Zone, which consists of a timed 100 meter segment located shortly after the 2.2 mile mark. The event includes food, beverages, and a post-race party for attendees.
Awards are issued for the 5K race to the top five overall men and women, as well as category winners in Master, Grand Master, and Senior divisions. Age group awards are provided for both the 5K and the Afterburner Zone segment, covering participants from age 1 to those over 80.
