The Brutal Extreme Triathlon takes place in Llanberis, North Wales, starting at Lake Padarn. The event offers Canol (Half), Mawr (Full), Cawr (Double), and Triple distances, with a 1.25 km swim in Llyn Padarn, a 28-mile bike loop through dramatic Welsh scenery, and lake laps totaling about 5 miles, before a final mountain section up Snowdon via the Llanberis Path. The race is famed as one of the world’s toughest but is noted for its low‑key, supportive atmosphere and strong camaraderie among athletes and crews.
