Brutal @ Spider Hill : Saturday 22nd November
The event takes place at Spider Hill in Long Valley. The entrance to the event is off Bourley Road with a short drive up a track to the arena. The organiser notes a partnership with Havant and East Hants Mind for fundraising across Brutal Run events.
Courses
- 5 km A shortened version of the 10k course.
- 10 km A single 10k lap route including named features.
The 10k route runs out to a steep climb, then through a series of climbs and marshes to the 5 km point. After 5 km the course goes through a cooling marsh, Alligator Swamp, Swan Lake, then the Muddy Mile with two steep climb outs. Around 8 km there is a wide view, then the route passes Duck Pond, a very steep short uphill followed by a fast descent and a couple more testing hills before returning to the finish.
Entries, limits and fees
Entries close on 20th November. Entry limits and current entries listed are:
- 5 km: entry limit 100, entered 72.
- 10 km: entry limit 300, entered 204.
Entry fees:
- 5 km Senior: £28.00; Junior: £23.00.
- 10 km Senior: £30.00; Junior: £25.00.
Juniors are under 18 on race day. Minimum ages: 5K = 10, 10K = 13. The organiser allows withdrawal via the entry system up until the Thursday before the event; withdrawn entries are credited for use at another Brutal event rather than refunded.
