Devil's Punchbowl 10km
This is a guided trail run around the Devil's Punchbowl in Hindhead, Surrey. The route uses local trails within the natural amphitheatre and beauty spot known as the Devil's Punchbowl. The event is offered on multiple dates in 2026 and 2027: 24 November 2026, 2 February 2027, 30 June 2027 and 15 September 2027.
The distance is 10 km on trails featuring several climbs and viewpoints. The group will pause at the top for the views and participants may take steeper sections at their own pace; hikes on steeper climbs and regular regrouping are part of the format. Participants should be comfortable maintaining an average trail pace of around 10 minutes per mile (approximately 6:15 min/km) for prolonged periods.
A qualified and experienced trail running guide leads the run and provides route direction and coaching. A full kit list will be provided before the event. Runs during lighter months are scheduled as sunset runs offering dusk running and views, while runs in darker months are night runs using headtorches in a group setting. Parking is available at the meeting car park in Hindhead. The event fee is £22 per person. Participants may have the opportunity to trial Silva headtorches and may receive an alcohol free beer from Athletic Brewing Company subject to availability.
