Devil's Punchbowl 10km
This is a guided trail run around the Devil's Punchbowl in Hindhead, Surrey. The Punchbowl is described as a natural amphitheatre and beauty spot; a local legend about the devil and Thor is noted alongside the area's natural features. The event is presented by Running Adventures, an organisation based out of Guildford, Surrey.
The route covers approximately 10 km of trails with several hills. The group will pause at the top for views. The organiser frames the activity as a group run rather than a race and recommends participants be able to sustain an average pace of 10 min/miles | 6 min/km on trail. Sunset runs take place during lighter, warmer months and focus on dusk running and views. Night runs are held in darker, colder months and use headtorches in a group environment.
A full kit list is provided to participants. Silva head torches are available on the runs and a range of Silva torches may be available to trial. Salomon trail shoes are available to test, with sizing requested during registration if required. Parking is available at the location. Running Adventures has a partnership with Days Brewing Company and may supply an alcohol free beer at the end of the run subject to availability.
