Brush Rabbit 5K Run/Walk
The Brush Rabbit 5K Run/Walk is hosted by the Chemical and Salvage Co. 2 of the Lindenhurst Fire Department at the Lindenhurst Fire Department Training Grounds in Lindenhurst, NY. Registration is not yet open.
The event supports the Chemical and Salvage Co. 2 fundraising efforts for community outreach programs such as youth group activities, a college scholarship award, fire prevention education, a Halloween trunk or treat, and holiday parade and Santa Ride efforts. All registrants receive a post race medal. A children’s play area will be available and a surprise Easter egg hunt takes place along the route. Finish-line photos are provided free of charge and results are delivered live online with email and text options. T-shirts will be available for purchase.
Personalized bibs are offered for those who register at least three weeks in advance. Bib pickup is managed by event staff; participants must know their bib number or use the self lookup area. Awards are given by gender and category, including top three overall male and female, top male and female first responders, top member and top probationary member with a name added to the Lindenhurst Fire Department First Responders leg trophy, and age group awards for several age ranges.
