About the race
Brotherhood for the Fallen 1/2 Mile Fun Run, 5K and 10K is a charity running event in Smithtown, New York, scheduled for July 2027. The event takes place at the Suffolk County Police Department - 4th Precinct, 727 Veterans Memorial Highway, Smithtown, NY 11788. Registration will open before the event date.

Event amenities include an opening ceremony with the national anthem, guaranteed T-shirt by June 20, DJ and announcer, post-race refreshments, giveaways, vendors, and an awards ceremony. The route will respectfully display the names of Suffolk County police officers leading up to the finish line. Raffles and a silent auction occur at packet pickup and on race day, with cash, Venmo, and credit cards accepted. A balloon artist and a complimentary photo booth are available. All 5K and 10K finishers receive a medal, and free finish-line photos will be provided. Personalized bibs are available for participants who register three weeks in advance. The Fun Run features mascots including Mr. Met, the NY Islanders ICE Tour, and the Chick-fil-A Cow. The 5K and 10K courses are supervised by Suffolk County Highway Patrol officers.
The 10K follows the 5K course with an added loop near the two-mile point; that loop is hilly between miles three and four. Water stations will be located at mile two and between miles four and five.
