Brotherhood for the Fallen 1/2 Mile Fun Run, 5K & 10K
This event offers a 1/2 mile fun run, a 5K, and a 10K held in Suffolk County, New York, with the Suffolk County Police Department - 4th Precinct in Smithtown listed as the event location.
The 10K follows the 5K course with an additional loop added near the two-mile point; that loop contains hilly terrain between miles three and four. Water stations are available at about mile two and between miles four and five. All 5K and 10K finishers receive a medal and free finish line photos are provided.
Event amenities include an opening ceremony with the national anthem, a DJ and announcer, post-race refreshments, vendors, giveaways, raffles and a silent auction at packet pickup, and a balloon artist and photo booth. The fun run features several mascots and offers a goody bag and T-shirt to finishers while supplies last. Personalized bibs are available for those who register in advance. Race day operations include course oversight by Suffolk County Highway Patrol Officers.
Awards include cash prizes for the top three overall male and female finishers in the 5K and 10K, cash awards for top first responders, age-group medals across multiple categories, and team and fundraising recognitions.
