Brotherhood for the Fallen

Brotherhood for the Fallen 1/2 Mile Fun Run, 5K & 10K

This event takes place on July 11, 2026, at the Suffolk County Police Department 4th Precinct in Smithtown, New York. It combines a noncompetitive half mile fun run with organized 5K and 10K road races. Proceeds benefit Brotherhood for the Fallen, a nonprofit that supports the families of law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty.

Distances offered:

• 1/2 Mile Fun Run free noncompetitive course; T shirt and goody bag while supplies last
• 5K medals for all finishers; cash prizes for top three overall
• 10K uses 5K course plus an added loop; hilly section between miles 3 and 4

Race amenities include an opening ceremony with the national anthem, a DJ and announcer, post race refreshments, giveaways, vendors, and an awards ceremony. Packet pickup is available the day before at the precinct and there is day of check in at the registration tent. Registered runners who sign up in advance may receive personalized bibs and a guaranteed T shirt by June 20. All 5K and 10K finishers receive a medal. Additional features include a photo booth, balloon art, free finish line photos, and family friendly entertainment including mascots and interactive attractions.
