Brotherhood for the Fallen 1/2 Mile Fun Run, 5K & 10K
The event takes place on July 11, 2026 at the Suffolk County Police Department 4th Precinct, 727 Veterans Memorial Highway, Smithtown, NY. Proceeds benefit the Brotherhood for the Fallen, a nonprofit that supports families of law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty.

The half mile Fun Run is free and non competitive, with a complimentary T shirt for participants while supplies last. The 5K and 10K award medals to all finishers and offer cash prizes for the top three men and women overall and for top three first responders. Age group medals are awarded across multiple age categories. Team and fundraising awards include fastest team and most money raised.
Course notes describe the 5K as relatively flat except for a short 50 meter descent and ascent after one mile when crossing Creek Road. The 10K follows the 5K course with an additional loop added near the two mile point; the 10K loop is hilly between miles three and four.
On site amenities include an opening ceremony with a national anthem performance, race kickoff led by motorcycle patrol, lawn signs honoring fallen officers near the finish, DJ and announcer, post race refreshments, vendors, giveaways, raffles, free finish line photos, and personalized bibs for those registered three weeks in advance. Early bib pickup is available the day before at the precinct and day of pickup is handled at the registration tent. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
