Course, support and cutoffs

The course uses wide, smooth pathways and is described as 99.9% flat, with a single 10-foot rise. Surfaces include hard crushed rock, soft shaded hiking trails, and horse trails; many runners may wear road shoes under dry conditions. The loop is approximately 16.7 miles and course markings are color coded.

There are four staffed aid stations on the course: Elm Lake (start/finish), 40 Acre Lake, Hale Lake, and Sawmill; a Nature Center unmanned water point serves shorter events. All runners must carry a hydration device; there will be no cups at aid stations. Drop bags for Sawmill are handled via Elm Lake. The finish line for all events closes on Sunday at 2:00 PM; the 100M cutoff is 32 hours and the 100K cutoff is 31 hours. Final decisions on lap starts and runner continuation rest with the race director, medical staff, and park officials. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
