The Pecan Grove Turkey Trot takes place on Thursday, November 26, 2026. The event is located at 1890 FM 359 Rd in Richmond, Texas.
Event Distances
The event offers three different activities:
- 5K Trot-4-Adoption: A 5 km timed run with chipped bibs, offered in both competitive and non-competitive categories.
- Kids 1 Mile Trot: A timed 1 mile run for participants aged 12 and under, also with a chipped bib.
- 1 Mile Adoption Awareness Trot: A 1 mile walk. No bib is provided for this event.
Additional Activities
Beyond the runs, the event features a Kids Zone with inflatables, music provided by a DJ, and a Vendor and Sponsor Row offering food and drinks. All participants receive prizes, with special prizes awarded to the male and female first, second, and third place finishers in each running category.
Purpose
The event is organized to raise funds for The Thankful Ones Adoptive Family Grant Award Program. This program provides financial assistance to families in Greater Fort Bend County and the Houston area to help cover adoption-related costs such as attorney fees and court costs.
