2026 41st Shottenkirk Fort Bend Kia Sugar Land Turkey Trot
The event is the 41st running of the Shottenkirk Fort Bend Kia Sugar Land Turkey Trot, held in Sugar Land, Texas, as a Thanksgiving morning tradition in honor of former race director Andy Stewart. Andy’s family continues the event to support the local running community and local charities.
Distances offered:
- 5 miles - Coach Andy's competitive, chip-timed (time limit applies)
- 2.8 miles - Aunt Jean's family walk and jog, strollers allowed
- 1 mile - Sean Scroggins’ kids run, strollers allowed
The Coach Andy's 5-mile course is a certified loop with mile markers and includes a downhill first mile through the Sugar Creek subdivision. Awards recognize overall and masters winners plus age-group top finishers across five-year divisions from youth through 75+. Timing results for the 5-mile race are posted by the event timing provider.
Logistics and services noted by the organizer include two days of packet pickup before the race, race-day packet pickup for out-of-town participants only, free parking near the start area, an official race photographer with photos for sale after the event, and EMT medical coverage on course and at the finish. The event collects canned goods for a local food drive and supports multiple local charities.
