XMiles Bolton Half Marathon & 10k takes place in Bolton on 1 March 2026. The event is organised by Epic Events with timing and results services noted as handled by Epic Events and registration via Results Base. Distances offered are:
- 13.1 miles (Half Marathon)
- 10 km (10k)
Minimum ages are 17 years for the half marathon and 15 years for the 10k. Entry fees are listed around £39 for the half marathon and £32 for the 10k, plus a per-order fee. Registration closes on 27 February 2026.
Course and logistics
The route starts and finishes in Queen’s Park on Chorley New Road and includes a run into the town centre. The course passes Bolton Town Hall (built 1866) and Le Mans Crescent, a location noted for frequent TV and film appearances. The half marathon consists of three laps of the loop and the 10k uses 1.5 laps. Both the half and 10k courses are UKA licensed and officially measured. Feed stations are provided on the route, electronic timing is used, and drinks are available at the finish. Finishers receive a custom finisher’s medal and event photographs are made available for free download from the official event photographer. Due to road closure limits, half marathon runners must re-enter Queen’s Park from Park Road on the final lap at about 10.75 miles to allow roads to reopen as scheduled.
