Arncliffe Gala (BOFRA)
The Arncliffe Gala fell race is held from Arncliffe Village Green in North Yorkshire (BD23 5QD). The course leaves the green, follows a track to the foot of the hillside, then climbs steeply to a summit cairn. The descent is split by a run along a sloping hillside before returning along the track to finish on the green.
Race details note a short fell route of about 1.60 miles with approximately 400 feet (120 metres) of climb. There is also a separate 4 mile road race. The event counts as a BOFRA Championship counter and includes both senior and junior routes.
Age categories listed for the event are Under 9, Under 12, Under 14, Under 17 and Seniors. A race map and race profile are not available on the event page. Organisers state that heavy rain or storm conditions that waterlog the route may require cancellation under conditions set by Natural England; the race organiser will make a decision on the day if necessary.
