Stanza Stones Winter Edition

The Stanza Stones Winter Edition is a 24-hour ultramarathon covering 50 miles along a linear route from Marsden to Ilkley in West Yorkshire. Participants will traverse the scenic South Pennines moorland, passing six Stanza Stones inscribed with poems by Simon Armitage, all themed around water. The event includes live tracking, indoor checkpoints with food and medical support, and a finishers' meal and memento.

Registration opens in April 2025, with the race scheduled for November 29, 2025. The event is suitable for experienced runners aged 20 and above, offering a challenging and scenic route through historic villages and moorland landscapes.
