Litton Birks Fell Race

Litton Birks Fell Race is an organised fell race held in Litton, North Yorkshire, within the Yorkshire Dales region. The senior race covers 5 km with approximately 362 m of ascent on a course changed in 2024. The event holds a Permit and associated UK Athletics insurance from the FRA.

Pre-entry is available for seniors via SiEntries; pre-entry fees are £5 for members and £6 for non-members. Entry on the day is also accepted; fees are £6 for members and £7 for non-members. The minimum age for the senior race is 17 years.

Junior races are offered across several age groups with separate shorter distances and ascent. Junior entries are on the day only at a fee of £3 each.

• U9: 0.8 km, 22 m ascent
• U12: 1.6 km, 63 m ascent
• U14: 1.9 km, 103 m ascent
• U17: 3.2 km, 219 m ascent

Registration and prizegiving are at the Queens Arms pub in Litton; catering and refreshments are available in a beer garden tent. Parking is provided in a field about 300 m from the start; signs and marshals will manage parking. Runners should carry map, compass, whistle, waterproof top with integral hood and taped seams, waterproof bottoms with taped seams, hat and gloves.
