Litton Birks Fell Race
The Litton Birks Fell Race takes place on 21 November 2026 at the Queens Arms, Litton, North Yorkshire BD23 5QJ. The event is a category AS fell race held in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Registration and prize giving are at the Queens Arms. Parking is available in a field about 300 m from the start. Teas, coffees and cakes will be available in a beer garden tent.
Course, distances, entries and logistics
The senior course is 5 km with about 362 m of ascent. A new course was adopted in 2024. Required kit includes a map, compass, whistle, waterproof top with integral hood and taped seams, waterproof bottoms with taped seams, hat and gloves.

- Seniors: 5 km, 362 m ascent
- U9: 0.8 km, 22 m ascent
- U12: 1.6 km, 63 m ascent
- U14: 1.9 km, 103 m ascent
- U17: 3.2 km, 219 m ascent
Minimum age for the senior race is 17 years. Junior races are available for ages from 6 years and above; junior entry is on the day only and costs £3 per junior. Pre-entry is available for seniors. Pre-entry fees: members £5, non-members £6. Entry-on-day fees: members £6, non-members £7. The event holds a permit and associated UK Athletics insurance from the FRA.
