Turkey Trails - Greater Chicago
Turkey Trails in Shorewood, Illinois is a Thanksgiving-themed running event held at Route 59 Access, 554 Brook Forest Ave. The event includes multiple in-person distances plus a virtual race option that allows participants to run remotely and receive event shirt and medal.
The in-person distances include:
- Kid's Dash - 50 m
- 1 Mile - 1 mile, untimed
- 5K - 3.1 miles
- 10K - 6.2 miles
- Half Marathon - 13.1 miles
Registrations for the Half Marathon, 5K, 10K, and 1 Mile include a custom bib, designer shirt, and finisher medal as noted for each distance. The Kid's Dash registration includes a mini bib, youth-sized shirt, and a medal; children may also run the Kid's Dash on race day without receiving swag or paying a fee. A Volunteer then Run option asks volunteers to arrive 30 minutes before packet pickup and permits them to run any distance afterward.
