BNP Paribas Open Family Day 5K Run
The BNP Paribas Open Family Day 5K Run takes place on February 28, 2026 at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden in Indian Wells, California. The event is a new 5K run, jog, or walk held on the Tennis Garden grounds as part of the BNP Paribas Open festivities. The course distance is 5K (3.1 miles).
The race is officially timed and includes mile markers. The course is mostly flat with minimal elevation changes. The start line is located at the East Gate and the finish is inside the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. Water stations will be available on course and at the finish, and medical personnel will be on-site and along the route. Portions of the grounds and surrounding areas will have temporary closures during the event.
General logistics noted by the organizer include on-site general parking that is free, race-day packet pickup availability, and that packet pickup instructions will be shared before the event. Registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable. Strollers are allowed and should start toward the back of the field. Pets are not permitted on the course or venue grounds. Awards will be given and official results will be posted after the race.
