Palm Springs WILD TURKEY TROT 5K : November 27, 2025

The in-person course is a USATF-certified 5K that starts and finishes on Palm Canyon in downtown Palm Springs. The course is described as flat and fast and passes through local neighborhoods. The event is runner, walker, stroller and dog-friendly. A portion of entry fees supports the Mizell Center's Meals on Wheels Program and other local causes. The race is organized by the Palm Springs Marathon Runners.
Logistics, registration and awards
All 5K participants receive a long-sleeved tech shirt, finisher medal, free finisher photo download, turkey knee-high socks and a wild turkey hat; additional Thanksgiving-themed knee highs are noted. Awards include finisher medals for all, age group medals three deep in five-year categories through 90+, trophies for top three finishers by gender, challenged athletes, teams, strollers and four-legged friends, and special trophies for the top ten finishers. A bonus medal is offered to participants who complete both this 5K and the Palm Springs TRAM ROAD CHALLENGE.
Packet pickup locations include Ruth Hardy Park parking lot (700 Tamarisk Road) for early bird pickup and an on-site pickup at 100 S. Palm Canyon on race weekend. Off-site parking is available at the city parking structure at 235 S. Indian Canyon Drive and on surrounding streets. A contact form is available for race-related questions.
