Palm Springs WILD TURKEY TROT 5K

The Palm Springs Wild Turkey Trot 5K takes place on Thanksgiving morning, November 26, 2026, in downtown Palm Springs on Palm Canyon. The course is described as certified, fast and flat, with both the start and finish in the downtown area.

5K in person
Virtual 5K

All participants receive a long sleeved tech t shirt, a finisher medal, a free finisher photo download, turkey knee hi socks and a wild turkey beanie. A portion of each entry fee supports the Mizell Center's Meals on Wheels Program, which provides food for homebound seniors, and other local causes. The event is organized by the Palm Springs Marathon Runners.

Registration opens March 18, 2026 for both options. For the in person 5K registration closes November 21, 2026 and the registration fee is $45. For the Virtual 5K registration closes November 18, 2026 and the registration fee is $60. Participants who complete the Southlands Events Palm Springs TRAMROAD CHALLENGE and the Palm Springs WILD TURKEY TROT 5K receive a bonus medal after the race.
