Event Overview
The Palm Springs Pride 5K Run & Walk is scheduled for Saturday, November 7, 2026. It is an official event of Greater Palm Springs Pride 2026. The event supports local LGBTQ+ organizations.
Event Structure
The event features three categories:
- Pride 5K Run & Walk (Adult): Open to participants aged 18-99.
- Pride 5K Run & Walk (Under 18): Open to participants aged 1-18.
- Virtual Pride 5K Run & Walk: A remote participation option.
A participant cap of 1,200 is set for the in-person events. Registration for the adult and virtual categories opens on July 12, 2026, and for the under-18 category on July 14, 2026. Registration on the day of the race is not available, and refunds are not offered.
The Course
The 5K (3.1 mile) course is described as mostly flat and follows an out-and-back route on paved streets. It starts on West Chino Drive and Belardo Road, winding through the historic Old Las Palmas and Vista Las Palmas neighborhoods. Volunteers will be present on the course.
Registration & Logistics
Packet pickup is available in advance on Friday, November 6 at The LGBTQ Community Center of the Desert (1301 N Palm Canyon Dr, Palm Springs) and on race day at the start area from 7:00 AM to 7:45 AM. All online pre-registrants receive a t-shirt with their race packet. For virtual participants, registration closes on October 15 to allow for t-shirt mailing, which is limited to the United States and Canada.
Participants can form or join teams. Awards are given to the top three teams with the most participants.
Results & Awards
Official timing is provided via a chip attached to the race bib. Awards are given to the top male, female, and non-binary finishers. Age group medals are awarded in categories from Under 15 to 80+. Winners must be present to receive awards.
Community Impact
The event raises funds for local charity partners. In the previous year, it raised over $40,000, and since its inception, it has donated over $240,000 to local nonprofits.

The event starts and finishes at 535 N Belardo Rd, Palm Springs, CA. Street parking is available near the start area, with carpooling or ride-sharing encouraged due to potential Pride Weekend road closures. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
