Blue Ridge Freedom 5K
The Blue Ridge Freedom 5K is a July 4 celebration run in downtown Blue Ridge with the start and finish at Blue Ridge Sip and Play / Angry Hops, 342 E Main St, Blue Ridge, GA 30513. The event includes two listed races:
- 5K
- Push Assist 5K
Packet and bib pickup options are scheduled before race day at Angry Hops Brewery, 341 East Main Street, with additional pickup added on July 2 and pickup on July 3. Race day pickup will also be available at Angry Hops. Online registration is available through July 4 at 7:15 a.m. All registration is online; there is no walk-up cash registration on race day. Registration fees are $30 for the listed events and discount pricing applies for children under 10.
On-course and post-race arrangements include a doggie water station at Sip and Play and on-site beverage availability at Sip and Play and Angry Hops. Angry Hops will offer a complementary beer sample to participants who show their bib during the holiday week and will be open after the race. Strollers and dogs are permitted at the back of the pack; dogs are not allowed in registration or packet pickup lines on race day. Walkers are welcome. Awards are given for 1st through 3rd overall and masters, plus five-year age groups, and there is a most-spirited runner recognition.
