2026 Twisted Tomato McCaysville Bigfoot Boogie 5K
The Bigfoot Boogie 5K is an autumn 5K in McCaysville, Georgia, held as part of the Riverwalk Run Series. The course is 3.1 miles, fully paved, mostly flat with one hill, and crosses the Georgia-Tennessee state line twice between McCaysville and Copperhill. The route follows the Toccoa River and goes through two downtown areas, offering a riverside setting and fall foliage during the early November event.
Start and finish locations differ, and timing is based on gun-to-chip results under USATF Rule 245. The event includes in-person and virtual 5K options. Shirt and bib pickup is available at the McCaysville Visitor Center on the day of the event. Water is provided at the finish; participants are advised to bring their own bottles for on-course hydration.
Awards are presented to overall female and male finishers and to age groups ranging from 0–9 up to 80 and older. All finishers receive a medal. The Bigfoot Boogie is the fall race in a three-event series that also includes spring and summer 5Ks, and all three Riverwalk Run Series races serve as Official Peachtree Qualifiers.
