Bigfoot Boogie 5K
The Bigfoot Boogie 5K is the autumn race in the Riverwalk Run Series, a three-event series that spans Georgia and Tennessee and marks the 250th anniversary of the United States in 2026. The series includes the Trout Trot 5K in spring, the Walk the Line 5K in summer, and the Bigfoot Boogie 5K in fall; participants who complete all three receive a challenge item.
The race follows a scenic 3.1 mile course that crosses the state line twice between McCaysville, Georgia and Copperhill, Tennessee. The route runs alongside the Toccoa River and passes through two downtown areas. The course is mostly flat with one hill and accommodates runners, walkers, strollers, and dogs.
The Bigfoot Boogie began the Riverwalk Run Series and serves as the series finale. The event takes place in early November and features fall foliage and a small mountain town atmosphere along the riverside. All three Riverwalk Run Series 5Ks are Official Peachtree Qualifiers for the AJC Peachtree Road Race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
