2026 Twisted Tomato McCaysville Bigfoot Boogie 5K

The Bigfoot Boogie 5K is a fall 5K in McCaysville, Georgia, held as part of the Riverwalk Run Series on November 14, 2026. The event is staged from the McCaysville Visitor Center and runs between McCaysville, GA and Copperhill, TN as part of a three-race series that also includes the Trout Trot 5K and Walk the Line 5K. Participants who complete all three events receive a challenge item.

The course is 3.1 miles, all paved, mostly flat with one hill, and crosses the state line twice. The route runs alongside the Toccoa River and passes through two downtown areas. Start and finish are at different locations and timing is recorded gun to chip in accordance with USATF Rule 245. The race is held at twilight in early November.

Awards include overall female and male placings, age-group awards from 0-9 through 80 and older, and a finisher medal for all participants. Event facilities and logistics noted by the organizer include shirt and bib pickup at the McCaysville Visitor Center, free parking across from McCaysville City Park, water at the finish, and a rain or shine schedule.
