Bigfoot Boogie 5K : McCaysville, GA

The Bigfoot Boogie 5K is the fall event in the Riverwalk Run Series, held on November 14, 2026, in McCaysville, Georgia. The course is a paved 3.1 miles, mostly flat with one hill, and crosses the Georgia-Tennessee state line twice between McCaysville and Copperhill. The route runs alongside the Toccoa River and passes through two downtown areas.

Start and finish are at different locations and timing is gun to chip under USATF Rule 245. Packet pickup for shirts and bibs takes place at the McCaysville Visitor Center. There is a virtual 5K option offered in addition to the in-person event.

Awards are given to overall female and male finishers and to age group winners in categories from 0–9 up to 80 and over. All finishers receive a medal. Basic event services noted by the organizer include free parking across from McCaysville City Park, water at the finish, and a rain or shine policy.

The Riverwalk Run Series comprises three seasonal 5Ks: Trout Trot in spring, Walk the Line in summer, and Bigfoot Boogie in fall. All three events are official Peachtree qualifiers for the AJC Peachtree Road Race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
