2026 Twisted Tomato McCaysville Bigfoot Boogie 5K
The Bigfoot Boogie 5K is scheduled for November 14, 2026, with the McCaysville Visitor Center and Market Street in McCaysville, Georgia, listed as the event location. The course covers 3.1 miles on paved surfaces, is mostly flat with one hill, and crosses the state line twice between McCaysville, GA and Copperhill, TN. The route runs alongside the Toccoa River and passes through both downtown areas. Start and finish are at different locations and timing is based on gun to chip in accordance with USATF rules.
This race is one of three events in the Riverwalk Run Series, alongside the Trout Trot 5K and the Walk the Line 5K. Participants who complete all three events may receive a series challenge item. The Bigfoot Boogie is offered as an in person event and as a virtual 5K option.
Awards are given to overall female and male finishers and across age groups from 0–9 up to 80 and older. All finishers receive a medal. Practical event details include shirt and bib pickup at the McCaysville Visitor Center, free parking across from McCaysville City Park, water provided at the finish, and a rain or shine policy. The course welcomes runners, walkers, strollers, and four-legged companions. The Riverwalk Run Series 5Ks are official Peachtree qualifiers.
