Mercier Orchards Spiked Apple 5k
The Mercier Orchards Spiked Apple 5k takes place in Blue Ridge, Georgia, on a fourth-generation family-owned and veteran-operated farm. The event features a course that traverses the scenic landscape of the orchards using a combination of roads and trails.
The event offers the following distances:
- 5 km run/walk
The course is suitable for both runners and walkers. Participants who are 21 years of age and older receive a collapsible cider glass and a pour of cider upon completing the event. All participants receive a cotton T-shirt, a finisher medal that functions as a bottle opener, a chip-timed race bib, and a homemade cider donut at the finish line.
Professional timing is provided, and results are posted online following the event. Custom age group awards are available for the top three male and female finishers in various ten-year age categories, ranging from 1-9 to 80 and over. While strollers are permitted, they are not recommended due to the uneven ground on the farm course. Pets are not allowed on the property due to USDA regulations regarding the orchard areas.
