Event overview
The Day of the Dead Half Marathon - Houston is scheduled for Saturday, October 17, 2026, at Kingdom Builders Center in Houston, TX 77085. Standard age-group awards and overall prizes are listed for the 5K, Quarter and Half distances, including trophies for overall male and female winners and recognition for masters (age 40+). A costume contest is held before the race with judges and a Best Costume Award. Packet pickup is offered 1.5 hours before the race start. Shirt orders are guaranteed only if placed at least 10 days before the event. Volunteers can sign up for course monitor or aid station roles and may receive a shirt, souvenir medal, VIP access, and a choice of a free future race entry or a $20 gift card.
