Shipley Donut Dash
The Shipley Donut Dash is a running event scheduled for October 17, 2026, held at the Sam Houston Race Park in Houston, Texas. The event offers multiple distances for in-person participants and supports Kids' Meals, a nonprofit organization that delivers nutritious meals to preschool-aged children living in poverty.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 10K (6.2 Miles)
- 5K (3.1 Miles)
- Kids Dash (1 Mile)
The event also includes several virtual options for those unable to attend in person, with distances ranging from a Kids Dash and 5K to a Half Marathon and Marathon.
The in-person 5K and 10K races are officially timed using a disposable timing system attached to the race bibs. The courses feature two donut stations serving donut holes. Upon reaching the finish line, participants receive a donut-shaped finisher medal, a dri-fit race shirt, a Shipley do-nut, and coffee.
Awards are presented at a ceremony near the basecamp area. The top three male and female finishers in the 10K and 5K categories overall, as well as the top three in specific age groups ranging from 10 and under to 75 and over, receive medals. Strollers are permitted on the course, but animals are not allowed at the venue. Parking is available on-site at the Sam Houston Race Park.
