Spring Fling Race Series, Shreveport
Presented by Bigfoot Running Company, the Spring Fling Race Series takes place on April 25, 2027 at Halton City High School in Shreveport, Louisiana. The event location street is to be determined.
The program includes multiple running options:
- Kids Dash (10 and under), not timed
- 1 Mile run, not chip timed
- 5K (3.11 miles), chip timed, awards
- 10K (6.22 miles), chip timed, awards
- Volunteer then Run 5K (3.11 miles)
- Virtual Run (12.4 miles)
Awards and recognition are provided for the 5K and 10K, including a Bigfoot Trophy for 1st overall male and female, a recognition pin for 1st masters age 40 and over, and standard age group prizes. Age categories start at 10 and under and extend through 70 and older, with gold, silver, and bronze for top finishers in each group.
Volunteer roles cover water stations, course monitoring, finish line support, packet pickup, lead bike, mascot, and sweep duties. The Volunteer then Run option includes a chip timed bib, shirt, and finisher medal and is limited to the first five participants who take that role. Full race volunteers receive a race shirt, VIP access, and a choice of a future race entry or a $20 Amazon digital gift card.
Logistics notes: packet pickup is available on race morning, shirt guarantee requires registration at least ten days before the event, weather may be rain or shine, and course surfaces include pavement, crushed granite, and dirt paths. Events occur on public roads and parks where other park users may be present. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
