Heroes and Villains Half Marathon - Bossier City
This running event presented by Bigfoot Running Company takes place at Walker Place Park in Bossier City, LA. Multiple race options are offered on park and greenbelt trails that are mostly paved with some crushed granite and dirt sections. Aid stations are available along the courses.
Distances include:
- Kids Dash - 50 meter untimed dash for ages 10 and under
- 1 Mile Fun Run - untimed, open to all ages
- 5K (3.11 miles) - chip timed
- Quarter Marathon (6.55 miles) - chip timed
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles) - chip timed
Finishers in every distance receive a medal and a shirt. The 5K, quarter marathon, and half marathon have age group awards and overall trophies for top finishers. A costume contest takes place before the races with prizes including a twenty five dollar gift card, a free future race entry, and a Bigfoot prize pack. A live DJ will provide announcements and music, and post race activities include awards, results, refreshments, and finish line photos.
Volunteer options include a Volunteer Then Run entry that includes a chip timed 5K bib, and non running volunteer roles that offer a race shirt, VIP access, and a choice of a future race entry or a twenty dollar digital gift card.
