Mission: Possible Run, Walk
Mission: Possible Run, Walk is a community fundraising run and walk held at First Baptist Church Shreveport, 543 Ockley Drive, Shreveport, LA 71105. All proceeds go to The Shreveport-Bossier Rescue Mission's Life Recovery Program, which provides services for people who are hungry, homeless, abused, or addicted.
Event distances include:
- 1/2 mile Kids Fun Run (ages 10 and under)
- 5k (3.1 miles)
- 10k (6.2 miles)
- Undercover Agent donate and race anywhere
The 10k is two loops of the 5k course. Registration fees for the 5k and 10k vary by date with earlier rates listed at $30, later rates higher, and a race day fee. The Kids Fun Run has a flat rate of $12. The Undercover Agent option is listed at $30. Registration fee includes an official race shirt, complimentary water, and activities; shirts are not guaranteed to late registrants.
Packet pick up is listed at Sportspectrum, 6970 Fern Avenue, with sessions on Thursday September 10 and Friday September 11, and additional pickup at the race site on race day. Awards are given to overall male and female winners of the 5k and 10k and to 1st and 2nd place male and female in each age group. Age groups are 14-under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 plus. An after party will follow with food, drinks, activities for children, and awards.
