Day of the Dead Half Marathon - Shreveport

The event takes place at Walker Place Park in Bossier City, Louisiana, and offers multiple race options across park and greenbelt terrain. The course uses mixed surfaces that may include pavement, crushed granite, and dirt paths. Aid stations are located on the course to provide water and basic assistance. Packet pickup is available beginning 1.5 hours before event start.

A pre-race costume contest is held at the starting area with a panel of judges, awards based on creativity and authenticity, and a prize for the winner. Post-race activity gathers at a rally tent with music, awards presentations, and food and drink service including Mexican-inspired items.

Chip timing is provided for several races and finish-line recognition includes overall trophies and age-group awards. Standard age-group awards for timed events include 1st overall trophies for male and female, masters recognition pins for age 40+, and placement pins for age brackets from 10 and under through 70+. Event apparel and finisher medals are distributed according to event type and the shirt guarantee follows the organizer's cutoff policy.
