BIGBEYOND Aether Trails
BIGBEYOND Aether Trails is the second event in the 2027 Element Trail Series, inspired by the element Aether. It takes place on Saturday 17 April 2027 at Queen Elizabeth Country Park, Gravel Hill, Horndean, PO8 0QE.
This is a night time trail run that starts from the event base and follows sections of the South Downs Way east into the South Downs National Park. Runners are guided by headtorch and run out to a life base to collect supplies before returning to the event base and finish.
Available distances and entry prices:
- 50K Ultramarathon - £70
- Marathon - £60
- Half Marathon - £42
- 12 km - £34
All entrants must carry at least 500 ml of fluid. Runners are advised to carry appropriate clothing for variable conditions, including beanie hat, gloves, buff, base layer, waterproof jacket and waterproof trousers, and a second dry base layer and warm accessories if wet conditions occur. The organiser recommends downloading the GPX route to a wearable or mobile device.
Aid stations are provided on the courses at specified mileages and offer sweet and savoury snacks with vegan options, water and flat coke. The event operates as a cupless event. A bag drop tent is available at the event base. Canicross entries are not accepted. Precision Fuel & Hydration products will be supplied on course and two gels are available at registration.
