Event overview
The Big Cork Wine Run 5k takes place on April 11, 2026 at Big Cork Vineyards, 4236 Main Street, Rohrersville, MD 21779, USA. The event features a 5k run/walk that is chip timed and scored by a professional timing company, with results posted online. A virtual participation option is available; packets can be shipped for a fee or picked up and used by a virtual participant.
Course and format
The course starts and finishes at the winery and tours the vineyards. It is a cross-country style course with some areas of uneven terrain and is laid out as two laps. Participants should inform the timer if they complete only one lap. Packet pick-up is available on race morning only.
Registration, age groups and policies
Registration includes a t-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal that also serves as a wine stopper, a chip-timed race bib, online results, and a wine pour for eligible participants. The 5k is open to a wide age range; age group awards are offered to the top three finishers in each 10-year category, with categories listed up to 80 & Over. Minors may participate but do not receive a wine glass or wine pour. Strollers are allowed but not recommended due to uneven ground; children in strollers may participate for free and do not need to register. Only service dogs are permitted on site.
