The Big Cork Wine Run 5k takes place on April 11, 2026, at Big Cork Vineyards, 4236 Main Street, Rohrersville, MD 21779. The event is chip timed and scored by J3 Timing, with results posted online at J3Timing.com. The 5k event is open to ages 1 to 99.
Course, entries and logistics
The course starts and finishes at the winery and includes a tour of the vineyards. It is a cross-country style course with some uneven terrain and is run as two laps; participants should notify the timer if they intend to complete only one lap. Packet pickup is held on race day morning beginning one hour before the race.
Registration includes a ring-spun cotton T-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a finisher medal (which also serves as a wine stopper in the event text), a chip-timed race bib, results posted online, and a pour of wine. Free race photos are available for download. A virtual participation option is offered; shipped packets incur a shipping and handling charge.
Age group awards are offered in 10-year categories (1-9, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80 & Over). Awards are available for pickup on race day only. Minors receive discounted registration that includes a shirt, medal and bib but not a wine glass or wine pour.
