2026 HCC Turkey Trot
The HCC Turkey Trot marks its 26th year as a community running event held at Hagerstown Community College. The course consists of a 3.1 mile loop that spans the college campus and Yale Drive. Participants run on paved roadways, and the race concludes inside the ARCC building on a mondo track surface. The route is closed to vehicle traffic during the main event.
Available distances include:
- 5K Run/Walk: A bib chip-timed race using a corral start system.
- 600m Mashed Potato Kids Race: Designed for children aged 3-10, finishing inside the ARCC arena.
- Pooch Pack: An option for registered participants to run the 5K distance with a leashed dog.
The event provides a stocked water and aid station along the course. After finishing, participants have access to a recovery zone in the ARCC featuring water, fruit, and athletic training services. Awards are presented to the top male and female finishers, as well as winners in individual age groups.
Official event T-shirts are provided to the first 900 registrants in the 5K, while all participants in the kids' race receive a shirt and a finisher's award. Packet pickup is available at the Hagerstown Community College ARCC building on designated days leading up to the event and on the morning of the race.
