Sheppard Pratt Turkey Trot in Frederick
The Sheppard Pratt Turkey Trot in Frederick is an annual community run that supports Sheppard Pratt’s work in mental health, addiction, special education, housing, and related services. The event described is the 24th running and offers both a short fun run and a community 5K. Race registration fees vary by date and include race shirts for all 5K and 1K participants. Online registration closes on November 24; on-site registration is available at packet pickup on November 25 only, subject to availability. There is no registration or packet pickup on race day.

Packet pickup takes place at the Hampton Inn Frederick, 5311 Buckeystown Pike, Frederick, Maryland 21704, on the days before the event with scheduled pickup hours. Awards for the 5K recognize the top overall male, female, and non-binary finishers and the top three male and female finishers in the following age groups: 9 & under, 10-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 and older. Fundraising can be conducted at the team or individual level; 100% of fundraising proceeds support the organization’s mental healthcare programs.
