Better Than Yesterday 5K
The Better Than Yesterday 5K is the second annual 3.1-mile run/walk at Wilder Park in Aurora, Illinois (350 N. River St). The event is organized as a chipped race and emphasizes steady progress, resilience, and overall well-being. It frames participation as a way to mark incremental improvement rather than perfection.
All proceeds from the event will be donated to A Call To Shoulders, a local veteran-focused nonprofit that helps former service members build purpose and skills through hands-on craftsmanship training and workshop programs.
Registration includes a race day t-shirt, a finisher medal, and a swag bag. Children age six and under may attend for free with a registered adult; those children do not receive a bib, timing, or swag. Organizers state that all registrations are final and non-refundable; registrations that cannot be used will be treated as charitable donations. Race day tees and swag bags will not be shipped to registrants who do not attend.
The event is planned to proceed rain or shine unless severe weather makes outdoor activity unsafe.
