Event Overview
The Bat Race 10K is part of the 13th annual Batavia United Way Bat Race event. The 10K is a chip-timed run. It takes place on the Fox River Bike Path, starting at the intersection of River and State Street in downtown Batavia, Illinois.
Distances
- 10k Adult (19 & Over)
- 10k Student (18 & Under)
The event also includes a 5K and a Kids 1/4 Mile Fun Run.
Event Details
Packet pick-up is available in the days before the race at Pal Joey's (31 N. River St., Batavia). It is also available on race morning at the same location. A costume contest with prizes for various categories is held. The race supports the Batavia United Way, which assists over 20 local agencies and programs.
All participants receive a finishing medal. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in both the 5K and 10K races. Food and beverages are available for purchase at Pal Joey's on race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
