Bat Race 5K/10K : Batavia United Way
The Bat Race is a Halloween themed community running event held in Batavia, Illinois. The 13th annual edition takes place on Saturday, October 24, 2026, and typically attracts over 700 runners from across Chicagoland.
The courses run around the Fox River and through the nearby tri cities area. Event options include both running and walking and there is a shorter event for children.

Costumes are encouraged but not required. A costume contest awards prizes in several categories, including Best Duo, Best Group, Best Adult Male, Best Adult Female, and Best Child.
