The Fall Color 5K
The Fall Color 5K is a community run and walk held on the Arboretum grounds at 4100 IL Rt 53 in Lisle, Illinois. The in-person course runs along the Arboretum East Side and features rolling terrain and changing autumn foliage. A virtual 5K option is offered for participants who prefer to complete the distance remotely.

- 5K in-person race on the Arboretum East Side with rolling terrain
- 5K virtual option
Medals are awarded only to participants in the in-person shotgun-start 5K. A postrace gathering includes live music, food, and a complimentary beer. Registration fees listed for the events are $55 for the in-person 5K and $45 for the virtual 5K. Registration opens on 8/21/2026; the in-person registration window closes on 8/29/2026 and the virtual registration window closes on 10/13/2026. Arboretum members receive a ten dollar discount per registration; the discount is applied during registration after entering a member number.
