The Fall Color 5K
The Fall Color 5K is a running and walking event held at the Morton Arboretum in Lisle, Illinois on October 24, 2026. The event offers an in-person 5K on the Arboretum grounds and a virtual 5K option for remote participants. The in-person course runs along the Arboretum’s East Side and features rolling terrain and views of trees at the cusp of their autumn color change.
A postrace gathering follows the in-person event, with live music, food, and a complimentary beer offered to participants. Medals are awarded only to participants who compete in the shotgun start in-person 5K. Ticket purchases support the Arboretum’s mission to plant and protect trees.
Arboretum members receive a ten dollar discount per registration; the discount is applied during registration after entering the member number. The event location is 4100 IL Rt 53, Lisle, IL 60532. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
