Run for Childhood Cancer YYC : Believe in the Gold
Believe in the Gold is a charitable foundation that supports children with childhood cancer, assists affected families, raises awareness, and helps fund research initiatives. The 2026 event is the foundation's 13th annual run and takes place at Peace Park, 8 St SW and 2 Ave SW, Calgary.
The event begins in the morning with breakfast or snacks, then offers running options and a family fun walk, followed by family-friendly entertainment. On-site activities include a kids zone with bouncy castles, face painting, crafts, magicians, and artists dressed as popular childhood characters.

A virtual participation option is available from anywhere in Canada. Race package pickup is scheduled at Shawnessy BARN, 224 Shawmeadows Rd SW, with pickup dates on September 8 and 9, 2026; out-of-town participants may collect packages at the event location. Registrations completed before August 25, 2026 are guaranteed a Hero Cape.
