Bark-A-Thon
The Bark-A-Thon takes place at North Glenmore Park, Crowchild Trail Southwest, in Calgary. It is a fundraising run to benefit Pawsitive Match Rescue Foundation, followed by a festival with food, games, music and raffle prizes.
Registration and sign-in are set up at North Glenmore Parking Lot A beside the Calgary Rowing Club. Participants pick up race bibs and, depending on the registration option, event shirts at the registration table. Volunteers are available to assist and answer questions.
The event includes marked routes, with a lead cyclist guiding the way and a caboose following to ensure participants finish safely. Participants may walk or run on the course.
Registration options vary by category and date. Available options include Basic and Upgraded for the 5K, and separate kids categories. The Basic option includes a bib, the Upgraded option includes a bib and event shirt. Children under 6 are free and those over 12 are charged at adult rates.
