2026 Bark-A-Thon
The Bark-A-Thon is a running event held in Calgary at North Glenmore Park. Located at Parking Lot A beside the Calgary Rowing Club, the event serves as a fundraiser for the Pawsitive Match Rescue Foundation. The gathering combines professional organization with a community atmosphere in the Southwest region of the city.
Participants can choose from various distances and registration tiers:
- 5 km (Standard or upgraded registration available)
- 10 km
- 5 km Kids (For children aged 6 to 12; children under 6 participate for free)
The course is managed with a lead cyclist to guide participants and a staff member following at the rear to ensure everyone finishes safely. Depending on the chosen registration level, participants receive a race bib or a package including both a bib and an event shirt.
Following the physical activity, the event hosts the Bark-A-Thon Festival. This post-race celebration includes music provided by Country 105, various games, food, and raffle prizes. A dedicated photo backdrop is available for participants to record their day, and various event partners are present on-site to support the foundation.
