RBC Race for the Kids Calgary
RBC Race for the Kids is held at Heritage Park in Calgary and marks its 10th year in 2026. The event combines a run or walk, a pancake breakfast, and family-friendly entertainment.
The event offers two main distances:
- 6 km along pathways overlooking the Glenmore Reservoir.
- 1.7 km circuit inside the park for families with young children.
Registration includes a performance race T‑shirt, a completion medal, all-day access to Heritage Park, kid-friendly entertainment and snacks, with a stated value of more than $80. Since its start in 2017 the race has raised more than $4.1 million to support the growing number of children in the community who need mental health resources.
Funds from the race helped create The Summit, Calgary's first community-based mental health centre for kids, which opened in spring 2023. The event continues to fund programs and research specific to youth mental health. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
