RBC Race for the Kids Calgary
The RBC Race for the Kids in Calgary is a family friendly fundraising event held at Heritage Park. The 2026 date marks the event's 10th year in Calgary. The day includes a run along pathways overlooking the Glenmore Reservoir, a pancake breakfast and kid-friendly entertainment, with all-day access to Heritage Park for registrants.
Registration includes a performance race T-shirt, a completion medal, all-day park access, snacks and entertainment items with a stated value of more than $80.
The event offers two distance choices:
- 6 km run along scenic pathways overlooking the Glenmore Reservoir
- 1.7 km circuit inside Heritage Park, a favourite for families with little ones
Since its start in 2017 the race has raised more than $4.1 million to support the increasing number of children needing mental health resources. Funds from the event helped create Calgary's first community-based mental health centre for children, The Summit, which opened in spring 2023, and continue to support youth mental health programs and research.
