RBC Race for the Kids - Calgary
The RBC Race for the Kids is an annual fundraising event in Calgary held at Heritage Park on September 13, 2026. Celebrating its 10th year in Calgary, the day combines family activities with a pancake breakfast and on-site entertainment for children.
The event features a 6 km run along scenic pathways overlooking the Glenmore Reservoir and a shorter circuit inside the park. Registration includes a performance race T-shirt, a completion medal, all-day access to Heritage Park, kid-friendly entertainment, snacks and other items valued at more than $80.
Distances available:
- 6 km run along pathways with views of the Glenmore Reservoir
- 1.7 km circuit inside Heritage Park, popular with families with young children
Since 2017 the race has raised more than $4.1 million to support the growing number of children who need mental health resources. The event helped establish Calgary’s first community-based mental health centre for kids, The Summit: Marian & Jim Sinneave Centre for Youth Resilience, which opened in spring 2023, and continues to fund programs and research focused on youth mental health.
Sponsors support the event and the community benefits it funds. Early registration promotions and a prize draw are offered as part of the 10th year activities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
