Tsuut'ina Trail Run

The Tsuut'ina Trail Run is in its seventh annual edition in 2026 and takes place at the Tsuut'ina Cultural Museum, 64 Old Agency Road, Tsuut'ina Nation, on Saturday, September 12, 2026.

The event's stated purpose is to promote healthy lifestyles through physical activity and to raise awareness and funds for the Tsuut'ina Disability Program. In previous years a portion of race fees and sponsorships supported that program. For 2026 the organizers indicate they will subsidize the race to keep participant costs down; entry is listed as $55.00.

The race is described as a grassroots outback course of about 12.2 km. The course features views of the Rocky Mountains, extensive raw single track with notable elevation change, and four river crossings. Access to the area is limited most of the year and organizers note that participants could be the only trail users on that date.

Only a SOLO race category is offered for 2026. The schedule includes an opening ceremony with a welcome prayer, remarks by Tsuut'ina leadership and the race director, and a traditional drum song. The post race program includes a barbecue lunch, race swag including a technical hat and running jacket for all runners, and draw prizes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
