Dino Dash 2026
Dino Dash 2026 takes place at Foothills Athletic Park, Crowchild Trail Northwest, Calgary, Alberta, Canada, on September 13, 2026. The event raises funds for the University of Calgary Dinos Track and Field and Cross Country teams.
The race was conceived in 2004 by two University of Calgary students to increase funding for the teams. About $150,000 has been contributed to support scholarships, competition opportunities, and uniforms.
The event offers several categories to accommodate different participants:
- 5 km
- 10 km
- Student 5 km
- Student 10 km
- Stroller 5 km
- Stroller 10 km
- Kids event hosted by Athletics Alberta with running, jumping, throwing
Package pick up is scheduled at Strides Running Store Marda Loop on the day before the race. Entry fees include a technical running shirt, an exclusive Dino finisher medal, a personalized race bib if registered in time, post-race food and a celebration with a beer garden, chip timing, and the opportunity to support the University of Calgary teams.
Participants must not give or sell their bib to another person. Doing so can result in disqualification and bans because of liability, timing, and results issues. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
