Dino Dash 2026
The Dino Dash is a running event held at Foothills Athletic Park in Northwest Calgary, Alberta. Established in 2004 by University of Calgary students, the event serves as a fundraiser for the University of Calgary Dinos cross-country and track and field teams. Proceeds from the event support student-athletes through scholarships, competition opportunities, and uniforms.
The event offers a variety of distances and categories for participants:
- 5 km (standard, student, and stroller categories available)
- 10 km (standard, student, and stroller categories available)
- Dino Dash Kids Event (track and field activities including running, jumping, and throwing)
Participants receive a technical running shirt, an exclusive Dino finisher medal, and a personalized race bib for those who register early. The races are chip-timed. On-site amenities include post-race food, a celebration area, and a beer garden. An awards and prizing ceremony is held following the completion of the races.
Package pick-up is located at the Strides Running Store in Marda Loop on the day prior to the race. Those registered in the student categories are required to provide a valid student ID at the time of package pick-up. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
