Beer City 20k Relay Races

Event details
The Beer City 20k Relay Races take place on May 23, 2026, at New Belgium Brewing Company, Craven Street, Asheville, NC (21 Craven St). The event is part of Asheville Beer Week and the Chasing Pints Running Series. Packet pick-up is available the day before and on race day at New Belgium Brewing. A post-race gathering and a complimentary beer or beverage for participants aged 21 and over will be held at New Belgium Brewing along the French Broad River.
Race options and entries
Race options include:
- 20k relay - team of 2, each running two 5k laps
- 20k relay - team of 4, each running one 5k lap
- 5k single runner
- 10k single runner (two 5k laps)
- Virtual runner - run a 5k or 10k remotely; swag mailed the week after race day
Included for in-person participants: race t-shirt, chip timing, post-race beverage, commemorative bib, and finisher medal.
Early, spring, and last-call pricing apply. Examples from the fee schedule: Single 5k ranges from $50 to $60; Single 10k from $55 to $70; 4-person team member from $45 to $55; 2-person team member from $55 to $65. A portion of each registration fee will be donated to the event non-profit partner.
Policies
The event has a no-refund policy. Transfers to a virtual entry, another runner, or a different distance are allowed up to five days before the event. Further transfer assistance is available through the event organizer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
