Beer City 20k Relay Races
The event takes place on May 23, 2026 at New Belgium Brewing Company on Craven Street in Asheville, North Carolina, beside the French Broad River. It is organized as a relay and as single-runner distances, and it is part of Asheville Beer Week and the Chasing Pints Running Series.
Race options include:
- 20k team relay (team of 2 or team of 4)
- 5k single runner
- 10k single runner
- Virtual 5k or 10k
Team formats: teams of four each run one 5k loop, or teams of two each run two 5k loops. A virtual entry option allows participants to complete a 5k or 10k off-site; virtual entrants receive race swag by mail after race day.
Included with registration are a race t-shirt, chip timing, a commemorative race bib, a finisher medal, and a post race beer or beverage for participants 21 and older. A portion of each entry fee is donated to the event non-profit partner.
Packet pickup is available the day before the event and on race day. The event uses tiered pricing with early, spring, and last-call rates. Transfers to a virtual entry or to another runner are allowed up to five days before the event. The organizer maintains a no refund and no deferral policy for cancellations and postponements.
