Event Details
The Battle of the Run Clubs is a team cross-country challenge held in Aiken, South Carolina. The event takes place at 149 Stable Dr, Stable View.
Races and Format
The event features three separate race distances, which start in this order:
- 10 Mile
- 10k
- 5k
Participants can choose the distance they prefer. It is primarily a team competition, but individuals can also register as "Free Agents" and will be placed into a mixed team. There is no limit to the number of runners from a single club.
Scoring
All races are scored equally, with first place earning 1 point, second place 2 points, and so on. A team's score is calculated from the top four best placings among its members, with the lowest total score winning. Teams can consist of any combination of genders and distances; a "perfect" team score requires using multiple distances and genders.
Post-Race and Amenities
After the races, food is provided by Stable View's Graze and Gaze. There will be lawn games, and showers are available on-site. Beverages are available for purchase in the Tavern. The winning team's name is engraved on a perpetual trophy displayed at Stable View, and individual trophies are awarded.
Additional Information
On-site lodging and RV hook-ups are available at Stable View. The event proceeds regardless of weather conditions. T-shirts and specific sizes are not guaranteed for registrations after January 15, 2027. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
