Aiken Trailblazer at Stable View
The Aiken Trailblazer features a selection of trail races held at the Stable View equestrian facility in Aiken, South Carolina. The event takes place on a property spanning one thousand acres, consisting of forests and rolling hills. Participants traverse paths lined with longleaf pines as part of a venue committed to regional land conservation and the protection of the Red-cockaded woodpecker.
The event offers several distances to accommodate different preferences:
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- 15K
- 5K
- Kids Fun Run (1 km)
Water stations are positioned throughout the courses. For the 13.1 mile and 15K routes, stations are located approximately at miles 2, 5.5, 7.5, and 9.75. Select stations provide electrolytes and energy chews. The 5K course includes a water station near the 1.5-mile mark.
On-site amenities include access to the Bistro at Stable View for post-race food and hot shower facilities for participants. The organizers present overall awards to the top three male and female finishers in the Half Marathon, 15K, and 5K, as well as awards for the first male and female masters.
The venue provides various accommodation options, including professionally designed lodging and RV hook-ups for those staying on the property. The facility is located at 117 Stable Drive, within driving distance of historic downtown Aiken.
