Battle Creek Half Marathon and 5k : overview
The Battle Creek Half Marathon and 5k is scheduled in Springfield, MI, with the in-person event taking place on Sunday, July 5, 2026. The race starts and finishes at the Territorial Brewing Company facility (2815 6th Avenue, Springfield, MI). The course routes include the Field of Flight festival grounds and airport runways, then continue on the streets and boulevards of Battle Creek and the Goguac Lake area. A time limit for the half marathon is 3.5 hours (16 min/mile average pace). Virtual options are offered for both distances; virtual packets are mailed and virtual participants may run their event anytime.

Registration, packet and included items
Prices listed on the registration page are $75 for the half marathon and $45 for the 5k; virtual entries are the same price as their in-person counterparts. Half marathon registration includes an event t-shirt, finisher's medal, finish line beer for those 21 and over, free event photos, two wristbands and a Field of Flight parking pass. 5k registration includes similar items with one wristband and a Field of Flight parking pass. Virtual registrations include bibs, medals, t-shirts and shipping.
Packet pick-up is available before the event and at the start/finish location on race morning; registrations are online only. Participation numbers may be capped once race supplies are ordered; the event has sold out in prior years.
Policies, awards and extras
There are no refunds. Transfers, deferrals and transfers between in-person and virtual entries are allowed up to the close of registration. Results are posted at the event and online. Awards are given to the top three overall men and women and to listed age groups; overall and masters winners are not eligible for age-group awards. An optional Breakfast and Brews add-on ($10) includes a plated breakfast and a small beer; valid ID is required for alcohol. The event partners with Talons Out Honor Flight as its charity partner.
