Battle Creek Half Marathon and 5k
The Battle Creek Half Marathon and 5k is Battle Creek's only half marathon. The event includes an in-person half marathon and a 5k, plus virtual participation options. The course features unique sections including airport runways, the festival grounds of the Field of Flight, and neighborhood roads around Goguac Lake. The half marathon starts and finishes at Territorial Brewing Company's brewing facility.
Race entries include event shirts, finisher medals, finish line beer for those over 21, and free event photos. Half marathon registrants receive two Field of Flight wristbands and a parking pass; 5k registrants receive one wristband and a parking pass. Virtual registrations include bibs, medals, and t-shirts, and ship participant packets; virtual registration closes earlier than in-person registration.
Packet pick-up requires prior online registration only; no paper registrations are accepted. Packet pick-up is available before the event and on race day, with specific times and locations communicated to registrants. Several local businesses provide approved parking lots for participants; event parking signs mark approved lots and a parking map is sent to participants.
Awards are posted at the event and online. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers and to specified age groups including masters categories; overall and masters winners are not eligible for age group awards. There are no refunds; registrations may be deferred or transferred subject to event rules.
