Flight and Road Running in Battle Creek
The Battle Creek Half Marathon and 5k takes place in Springfield and Battle Creek, Michigan. The event features a unique course that starts at the Territorial Brewing Company facility and leads participants onto the grounds of the Field of Flight. While running along the runways, participants may observe aircraft and hot air balloons, provided weather conditions allow for launches.
The routes are designed to be fairly flat and scenic, transitioning from the festival grounds to the streets and boulevards of the city. The half marathon course has a specific time limit of 3.5 hours, which requires maintained average pace of 16 minutes per mile.
