Kal-Haven Trail Run April 10, 2027
The Kal-Haven Trail Run is a point to point event on the Kal-Haven Trail State Park from the Caboose area in Kalamazoo to South Haven, covering approximately 33.5 miles. The course is described as gently downhill and includes ten aid stations that also serve as relay exchange points.
Event formats offered:
- Solo runner (solo entrants may use up to three drop bags).
- Two person relay team.
- Three to six person relay team with suggested exchange segments along the trail provided by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources.
Registration opens October 1, 2026. Registrations received by March 21, 2027 include a commemorative hoodie; registrations received after that date qualify for late fees and do not include the hoodie. Online registration continues until midnight April 9, 2027. There is no paper or day of registration.
Fees for registrations received by March 21, 2027 are listed per entry type and increase for late registration. Team captains may make online team member substitutions up to April 4, 2027. Heat assignments for the start are used for participant placement and will be announced on April 3, 2027. A shuttle service will transport attendees between Center Point Church and the 10th Street trailhead; parking is not allowed along 10th Street or the trailhead. All finishers receive a finisher medal and awards are given in five year age groups for Male, Female, and Non-Binary categories. No refunds or deferments are available.
