Event Overview
The Bar Harbor Bank & Trust Half Marathon and Fall 5K takes place in Bar Harbor, Maine. The event features multiple distance options and categories for participants:
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- 1/2 Marathon - Walker (13.1 miles)
- Fall 5K (5 km)
The half marathon course begins in the fishing town of Bar Harbor before entering Acadia National Park. A significant portion of the route, spans nine miles, follows the historic carriage road system. These roads consist of hard-packed trails originally constructed by John Rockefeller Jr. in 1913.
Course and Amenities
The half marathon route is hilly and passes through dense forest. Participants cross several old granite bridges as the course loops back toward town. All participants who complete their respective distances receive finisher medals.
Participant shirts are provided to everyone registered for the half marathon. For those participating in the Fall 5K, shirts are limited to the first 50 individuals who register.
Logistics
Packet pickup occurs on Friday, September 11, 2026. There is no packet pickup available on the day of the race, and materials are not sent out via mail. The event base is located at 21 Park Street in Bar Harbor. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
